just got word of a recent success of the student group i work with on campus. they are part of a nation wide structure, with lots of other schools, under the umbrella of a group called USAS (United Students Against Sweatshops). Last year because of SLAP’s efforts, our school was one of the top ten to suspend its conract with russell corp. until they correct labor violations in honduras. and after a year, we’ve won. check it out.
